To be successful in their role you need to be compassionate, creative and fun-loving. You should be able to see the person, not the disability. You should be able to adapt yourself every day and for every shift.
Specifically:
DCSI screening which is not older than 12 month
Roadworthy car and current drivers license is advantageous
Fluency in English
Certificate III in individual support ( Disability)
Current First Aid Certificate and Manual Handling
Availability at least 4 days a week (including some weekends)

I wanted to follow up to see if there have been any updates regarding the application of the disability support worker position that I had emailed .
