我０六年来澳，就读于国立,之后在一所院校任职海外学生申请审理工作。因此对校内的流程十分熟悉。只是各自的要求有细微的差别。并且自己办理了绿卡，在此过程中也学到了很多。

The Minister for Tertiary Education, Skills, Jobs and Workplace Relations, Chris Evans, and the Minister for Immigration and Citizenship, Chris Bowen, today announced an extension of the post-study work arrangements from 2013.
Post-study work arrangements for university graduates will be available for:
Graduates who complete their Bachelor degrees after at least two academic years’ study in Australia will be eligible for a two year stay;
Graduates who complete their Masters degrees after at least two academic years’ study in Australia will be eligible for a three year stay; and
Graduates who complete their PhD after at least two academic years’ study in Australia will be eligible for a four year stay.
The existing Temporary Skilled Graduate (Subclass 485) visa, which provides for a stay of 18 months for those with qualifications in eligible fields of study, will still be available.
The announcement also states that post-study work arrangements would apply to Bachelor or higher degree graduates from other education providers accredited to offer degree level programs, in addition to university graduates.

现存的毕业生临时居留签证（签证类别485）依然有效。该签证依然可以允许那些满足申请条件的申请人在澳洲逗留18个月。移民部长同时指出，对于那些从大学以外的教育机构毕业并获得学士及更高学位的毕业生，只要该机构在法律允许的情况下有资格给学生颁发学士及更高学位，以上政策同样适用。
政策解析：
1。最早出台的政策只针对大学，也即澳洲所有公立大学以及少数几所私立大学认可，此次澄清后，扩展至移民部认可的准予颁发学士以及更高学位的私立学校。（妥协的结果）
2。硕士毕业工作签证年限，由早期公布的，硕士（授课型）2年，硕士（研究型）3年，统一为3年工作签证。可谓不错的消息，童鞋在此期间，可以选择其它合法途径取得永久居留权。例如，技术移民，配偶移民，州担保移民，雇主担保移民，创业移民等。

To advance the UNSW student experience and reward high achieving students, UNSW will be offering scholarships for high achieving international students enrolling in the 2012 February and July intakes.
To be eligible you should:
• Submit your application and required documents to receive a full offer to study at UNSW by November 30
• Have achieved excellent results in your previous studies
• Have an overall IELTS score of 7.0 or equivalent (if your studies were completed in a language other than English)

12年3月24日-澳洲学生签证重大利好消息
继2011年11月5日开始的最新学生签证政策放宽逐步导入实施以来，2012年3月24日与26日起将作重大调整，学生需要准备的材料将进一步简化，将成就更多学生留学澳洲的梦想，此政策为11年末的政策导入延续，后续还会公布更为具体化的指导性文件。与此相关的其它一揽子政策将在2012年后半年以及2013年初将陆续导入。此次政策变化简介如下：
一． 3月24日起，学生签证风险等级调整
于2012年3月24日或26日起递交的本科，硕士和博士研究生的学生签证申请，只要申请递交时已经有COE， 无论申请人的国籍是哪里， 签证的审核标准都会参照第一风险等级（Assessment Level 1），这意味着申请人的材料准备难度会大为降低。这项提议被称为streamlined visa processing proposal, 参加这项提议的大学名单预计会在2012年3月24日在移民局网站公布。
二． 3月26日起，打工时间更加灵活
现行学生签证政策规定：授课期间，每周学生打工的时间不得超过20个小时。3月26日后该项规定将变成：授课期间，每两周学生打工的时间不超过40小时。
对于研究类研究学位和博士学位的就读学生 (Master by Research, PhD)，一旦课程开始，他们每周可以工作的时间不受限制。
该新政对所有已持有学生签证的同学都适用。
三． 3月24日起，571签证语言课程上限调制50周
对于第三风险等级（AL3）的571学生签证申请人，可以接受语言课程培训的时间会上调到50周。
此外，从3月24日起，新580签证持有人（学生监护人）可以兼职上语言培训课程， 该课程的时间没有上限，但每周不能超过20个小时。
四．3月24日起，AL4的571签证申请人无英语要求
对于AL4的571签证申请人，移民局将不再要求他们在申请时出具英语水平证明（雅思成绩）
五. 3月24日起，学生签证可以在开学前4个月就下签
澳移民局电子visa系统会进一步升级，学生签证可以在开学前4个月就下签。
六. 学生签证不会再自动取消
以前，如果学生签证持有人没有达到一定出勤率，在一定时间内没能通过就读课程， 或者打工时间每周超过20小时，学生签证会被自动取消。
这种一揽子取消签证的政策被认为太过苛刻，没有给个别学生申辩的机会，所以有提议要求今后学生签证的取消决定会根据具体学生的具体状况来作出， 给留学生一个更公平公正的 结果。
学生签证不再自动取消的提议具体何时能够实施，取决于2012年议会是否能通过该法案。

如题，分享如下---２０１１年７月１日起澳洲学生签证资金担保额度略微上调．以主申请人为例，变化前年生活开支担保金为１万８澳元，调整后为１８６１０澳元，其余条目也有相应的增加．
具体内容如下：
Student Visa Living Costs and Evidence of Funds
International students are required to demonstrate and/or declare that they have genuine access to sufficient funds to be granted a Student visa. Applicants may have to demonstrate sufficient funds to cover these expenses for the first one or two years in Australia, depending on their assessment level.

This helps to ensure students are better able to make the most of their studies and have a safe and enjoyable experience in Australia. Funds should be sufficient to contribute to the cost of travel, tuition, school costs of any dependents, and living costs.

2012年6月15日，澳大利亚移民部官方网站正式宣布，从2012年7月1日起通过EOI方式获得邀请的人员，申请独立技术移民（不分境内外）时（也即通常所说的绿卡或者PR），通过分从65分降低为60分。此政策的出台是为了吸引更多符合澳洲技能需求的人员获得长期居留签证，为澳大利亚的经济做贡献。

Change to the skilled migration pass mark

The pass mark for points tested skilled migrants who complete an expression of interest (EOI) through SkillSelect will be lowered from 65 points to 60 points from July 1.
The change applies to those who complete a SkillSelect EOI for one of the new points-based skilled migration visas (subclasses 189, 190 and 489).
A Department of Immigration and Citizenship spokesman said the change to the pass mark was in the context of the series of reforms to the skilled migration program undertaken by the Australian Government since 2008.
“These reforms have ensured the skilled migration program is a responsive and demand driven program,” the spokesman said. “The cornerstone of this migration reform package will be the introduction of SkillSelect from July 1.”
SkillSelect is a new electronic service for managing the skilled migration program. Intending migrants without an employer sponsor wanting to live and work in Australia will need to complete an online EOI, then based on claims of their skills and attributes, will be allocated a score against the points test. SkillSelect will rank intending migrant’s scores against other EOIs.
The highest ranking migrants across a broad range of occupations may be invited to apply for a skilled visa.
“Delivery of a balanced migration program requires careful management,” the spokesman said. “SkillSelect will provide greater control over who can apply for a skilled visa and when they can apply.”
The previous pass mark was appropriate in the context of the skilled migration reforms, with a greater emphasis on employer-sponsored skilled migration and managing a growing pipeline of unsponsored skilled migration applications.
The revised pass mark will encourage a broader range of people with the skills and attributes needed in Australia to register their interest in migration.
